Chapter Eight: Divining the Truth

Sufism, Kabbalah, and mysticism within religion have always fascinated me. During my childhood in the kibbutz, being close to nature was my favorite way of spending time, either taking care of my bees and my pigeons, playing with my dogs and my rabbits, wandering in the eucalyptus forest, or walking through the orange groves. Living in the countryside stimulated feelings in me that I have not experienced anywhere else. I felt inner joy, a closeness and connection to something pure and extremely powerful, but it was something that as a child I could not comprehend.
